Like other leading air services of the world, the Pakistan Air Force is made up largely of fighter aircraft (including interceptors and attack) with some 56% of its inventory dedicated to the type. This is followed by a 33% commitment to training (fixed-wing).The JF-17 'Thunder' represents a homegrown initiative (with Chinese help) to bring about an indigenous multirole fighter solution.
