"Thank God men cannot, as yet, fly and lay waste the sky as well as the earth." - Henry David Thoreau
The World Directory of Modern Military Aircraft (WDMMA) showcases a comprehensive look at the current strengths (and inherent weaknesses) of modern military air services across the globe. The information provided through this in-depth resource allows the visitor a unique, visual, and analytical insight into a primary aspect of modern warfare...control of the skies. Currently, 101 countries are tracked with 127 air services covered and 47,893 total aircraft followed.
All national powers currently tracked by WDMMA are listed below - first by national flag, then by country name and, finally, by total aircraft unit count. The count constitutes all major branches of services tracked (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, etc.). Click on the respective country banners to visit the respective services. Due to descrepancies in UAV/Drone reporting, these are not yet taken into account.
